You are aware that your namesake started off in 1977 on the bench, coming on as a utility forward. In 1978 mostly as a second rower, then after a few rounds in 1979 as a prop. He then cemented a prop starting position but he also played hooker.

Lots of Bulldogs greats actually started as utilities off the bench, it’s far from unusual.
