We win if Holland doesn't go down imo...our defensive combos on the edges were fucked once Des made a million changes to cope with the loss of one player. We were defending very wll before that though it was still early...but sooo many crucial errors came as a result of thrse changes.

We are in a learning curve not unlike the Knights, building a team around a new half trying a new attacking structure, needing to stand deep and run onto the ball.

It was caused because JMoz had gone to the right after Holland went off and hadn't had time to adjust to those on that side. One of the consequences of injuries in specialised positions. We lose a forward we have others there to replace them but when you lose a back it takes a bit to adjust. He tightened up after that but the Chooks were smart enough to exploit it.

Agree that Mbye, apart from an improved kicking game, didn't offer much tonight. I don't know maybe his injuries are worse than has been let on, but Lichaa went OK again tonight. He ran, he passed ok and he tackled well. The only thing he doesn't do is kick. He's not the only hooker who doesn't do that.

Good point on the strategy of combinations once a player goes down. I don't know why Jackson is our gap filler guy when injury strikes... surely it would have been less disruptive and more logical to shift Mybe to Centre (where he's been effective in the past) and stick someone else in the halves to catch and pass?

Reynolds went low but Eastwood went high.. Eastwood just underestimated the strength of Keary. For me it was a pleasure to finally see Lichaa and co chop some blokes down.

I called dogs win if they scored in that set and they did, just didn't expect Holland to go down which obviously fcuked the team. But in saying that we don't know if the team would have fallen back into those bad habits or not.
