Im about to make some pop corn whats the best way to cook it

Do i put the butter in before its popped or after ?

If in a saucepan, add a little oil / butter and wait for it to heat.

Drop a couple of kernels in. If they spin slowly, the oil is hot enough.

Tip the rest of the Kernels in. Wait for them to pop.

Transfer to bowl.

Add butter and salt then.

Om nom nom.


(That's how I remember it, anyway.)

Someone bought me a popcorn maker for a present. I used it once and it has never seen bench space since. It has spent more time in the cupboard than Natasha Ryan.
