Didn't realise Nico is off contract, has impressed so far with his time on field.

That whole team fell apart today. Hard to blame that on Ponga. He has killed it at origin level too.

The storm system makes these players look amazing. That's what top coaching can do. Put Ponga in the storm system and he'd be at the top of his game.

On his day Ponga can be ridiculous, but does have more quiet games than players like Tedesco and Papen. Those 2 are the best 2 fullbacks. To Papens credit he is top level in his first few seasons, and it took Tedesco a lot longer to be as dominant as he is now in the position.

Papenhuyzen's not the sort of player we'd recruit anyway. Way too fast and can hit blokes on the chest when he passes.

Tedesco was playing in a shithouse side though. You can’t compare that to a kid walking straight into such a quality, well coached side. Not saying one is better than the other, but starting your career with a top quality side is definitely a huge advantage.

He's very inconsistent. Not worth his price tag at the moment. My own pointless opinion is I think he should still be in the halves. He's been ok in Origin, but he needs to take it up a few levels if he wants to be considered an elite top-shelf player.

Actually got into an arguement with my mate 2 weeks ago when I said Ponga is overrated and should not be the QLD fullback. I think Brimson is a better player. Also Ponga is not worth over 800k a season.

IMO Turbo is very consistent when he isn't having injury dramas. Has done exceptionally well in Origin as well playing out of position. He makes a huge difference to Manly when he's fit.

1.) Turbo
2.) Papen
3.) Tabasco Sauce

Difference with Pap and Teddy are the rest of the players surrounding them compared to Ponga. Everyone does their job in the Storm and Roosters and coached extremely well. Ponga is still too 3 fullbacks in the game imo. Even top 2.
