A nightclub incident involving New Zealand Warriors forward Josh Curran is under police investigation after a teenager lost teeth in the affray.
Police are investigating a report that a 16-year-old boy was punched by a man in the early hours of Monday morning at a late-night venue in the coastal NSW town of Port Macquarie.
Several men were ejected by security following the alleged assault inside the Level Up nightclub.
The teenager had his front teeth knocked out during the assault, according to 7NEWS.
Police released a statement to news.com.au confirming an incident took place at a Port Macquarie nightclub.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District are investigating reports of an alleged assault which occurred at a nightclub on William Street, Port Macquarie, about 3am yesterday (Sunday 2 October 2022).
“Police have been told a 16-year-old boy was punched by a man.
“Inquiries are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
Police are conducting their own investigation using witness accounts and CCTV footage, but have yet to formally charge Curran.
Seven reports the alleged victim suffered serious injuries and is helping police with the investigation.
