This is one of our biggest problems.
We stop this. We have a better chance Screenshot_20230506_100304_NRL.jpg

Most penalised team in the competition with 3 players in the top 5 and the worst defensive team in the comp

Direct correlation there
CC has us competing harder and the refs don't like it. There's a correlation.
South's threw 10 forward passes and not on was called. Reed threw one borderline and its called. There's a correlation.
Most penalties conceded = conceded most tries. Correlation.
Our play the ball speed was a full second less than St Merge ptb last week where was our lopsided penalty count? We conceded more yet again. Correlation

It's really to do with how much youth we have in our forwards. Unfortunately, TPJ is not the old head leader we need. The guys will eventually get there, but it would be easier if we grabbed someone older to lead them around training. Having Mason and O'Meley at training is not the same thing especially as they are coming from a different era. They need guys actually putting in the work.

A good read. The only team to finish above 15th on the table is the Panthers with there current squad last year. That's like a once in a lifetime crop of players.

But the good thing is that a lot of those teams in future years got a lot better as the players aged.

Josh 10 penalties in a handful of games lol wtf.
Although it’s not acceptable, I can kinda understand it, regarding Reed. 100% of the time in the middle of the ruck action for 80min. However not for Reynolds. Only on for 30-40min and standing 1-2 off the ruck. This poor discipline in a less than half a game player, is becoming a liability. I suspect as he becomes gassed, his penalty rate increases.

Do we seriously have in the top 5 offenders in the whole NRL 3 in that 5? That is shocking! Not sure what is going on here besides Ref bias and player concentration, Maybe we have just worked out how to diagnose ADHD in the NRL lol

What’s Souffs forward passes got to do with penalties?

We got 3 players top 5 worst offenders

Penalties mean the other team get metres and possession and more possession more opportunities to score and more tries means more points against

Worst for and against and worst in crime count

Correlation

The correlation is general play calls also go against us reinforcing the belief of ref bias.
