@Nasheed And we signed him to a 2yr deal Cronulla couldn't wait to get rid of himHe will play 15 mins either side of halftime and flash some gang signs after barging for a close range try near d line and then get ‘homesick’ and be released seasons end and play in da Illawarra comp for Mackay cutters in 2025

Impact incoming.
There has been a few players like that which came over to the Dogs either unfit or with a long injury historyI remember how much TK hyped this whale up smh my head.
My first reaction was, “Oh wow the nutty professor bleached his hair”.
If you said this pre season people would just say you are ‘Clown crew’ and ‘negative’ and ‘Gus knows more than u’There has been a few players like that which came over to the Dogs either unfit or with a long injury history
The worst of it is, when TK says these types of players will improve at our club because of our facilities, trainers, physios, doctors, etc.....
It's like all the remainder of the NRL clubs tried to do nothing to help these players, and their facilities, doctors, etc were amateurs and we are the only pros in the comp and noone comes close
@Nasheed Cronulla didn't want Pele. Fitzgibbon wanted to get rid of him. Gus quick to sign. Ciraldo was going to be the right mentor for Pele. All stories like that. Pele was worth a gamble. Not at expense of Vaughan. If you said this pre season people would just say you are ‘Clown crew’ and ‘negative’ and ‘Gus knows more than u’

I'm with you. I think they let go of Pele far too quickly and easily unless there is something we don't know. Maybe they haven't really punted him. Maybe they think that he can get his weight down and his fitness up at Hull, rather than in the Knock-on Effect Cup, and they plan to get him back sometime later.Yes.
And you know what?
I have no issue with this gamble.
But thsi is what I don’t get.
It’s one thing to take on Pele as a project, but why then axe him when he isn’t the finished package?
Players like this you generally need the full two years.
When you take on someoen like Pele, the onus is on you the coach to make him better. If he fails to do so, that’s on coaching staff.
Punting him because he wasn’t the complete package defies the reason why he was bought in the first place.
Of course, there is a logical answe here and that is Pele was extremely lazy and not trying.
If that is true it’s fair enough, but still a sleight on CC as he failed to motivate him.
But we see this time and time again with doggs. And he’s yet another salary cap hit most likely.
Judging by the recent pic of him it looks like that will be a fail.I'm with you. I think they let go of Pele far too quickly and easily unless there is something we don't know. Pele just kept on failing, he failed to stick to his nutrition plan, he failed to hit his weight KPI, missed his strength KPI’s, didn’t get close to his speed KPI’s and the most obvious of all didn’t get within a bulls roar of his endurance KPI’s. He had all of the support from the specialists, both physical and mental, but he just couldn’t or wouldn’t get his head in the game with any consistency. At some point he might wake up to how much he is wasting the opportunities that he’s been given, to date he shows a lack of commitment and the dedication that being an NRL player demands.I'm with you. As if you’d know this inner stuffPele just kept on failing, he failed to stick to his nutrition plan, he failed to hit his weight KPI, missed his strength KPI’s, didn’t get close to his speed KPI’s and the most obvious of all didn’t get within a bulls roar of his endurance KPI’s. Always a Bulldog
Why axe him? Because he didn't have the will power to drive past KFC without stopping.Yes.
