It appears that they have instigated change with their massive clean out of players; except they are cleaning out the wrong ones in some instances.
Gasnier mentioned last night that they are going to virtually start from scratch, pick and choose their retention by capping the money they will outlay for certain positions; I assume he meant something like the Wayne Bennett philosophy of no more than say $450k for a prop and $300k for a winger ( examples only).Unfortunately not a very realistic way to look at things. Will not bring success except for may be in the long term, 5 years or so down the track. Anything would be better than the rabble they are at the moment, with this year being their worst start since their inception into the comp ( based on no wins, poor scoring record etc.)Looking like an early favourite for the wooden spoon to me.
