Maxwell Sutton and Cummins hate the dogs what your stats don't show is the penalties we don't get. Take yesterday fifita plays the ball facing the sideline and Sutton put down a scrum rather than give us the penalty, even the commentators said why isn't it a penalty. Last game Tolman correctly argued with Cummins about the marker reaching around and knocking the ball out of the dummy halfs hand. No Penalty again another scrum. and when we do get penalties there almost always within our own 30 metres. We hardly ever get penalties in the opposition half. Yesterdays game was terrible and we did not play well but our boys every match are doing way to much defense in the 1st half due to bias penalty counts and ironically our last 3 matches we had Sutton Cummins and Maxwell were the referees. 14 - 6 penalty count yesterday was a joke. Penalties were warranted but both teams were doing exactly the same thing but only one team was being refereed.

dont blame the referees for our players being dumb, laying all over the opposition, inside the 10, high shots, obstruction during play, working them over, take those out of your stats then look at how many penalties we have conceded
how many penalties each game does jackson give away.....every one for laying on the player
t rex....everyone for inside the 10 even after warnings
reynolds is good for at least 2 a game
if we cut down on our own stupidity we wouldnt have that amount of penalties against us

But you have got to admit that the standard of refereeing across the board has been atrocious. 1 week they hammer offside penalties ala maxwell vs Titans and the next that goes out the window ie brush and Cronulla games.

the standard of referees under tony archer is a disaster week in week out they stuff up and play their own rules each and every referee is different

people are blowing up about the reynolds hit on holmes, look at the replay reynolds launches himself at holmes and his shoulder bicep makes contact with his chin, that is a penalty ...reynolds left the ground to attempt the charge down and hit him high, hes pushing the limits of foul play by doing that and will be borderline staying on the field soon
the 2 obstruction calls were 100% correct, yes ennis milked it to the fullest and got away with it, but again we shouldnt have been in that position

We dropped too much ball, could put no pressure on the sharks and couldn't complete our sets. We didnt deserve to win it.

We were sh@t I will admit, but I just sat down and watched the first four to five minutes of the game and came up with this ;
@1-30 we put the Sharks into touch we hear the following " Are you happy with Josh Reynolds coming in late?" Reply "I THINK he's already out mate." Looking to penalise us not credit us with great defence.
Then @ 2-33 Josh Reynolds smashed by Wade Graham after he releases a pass to Josh Jackson. No concern from officials, nothing seen by anyone but the crowd. The sharks put the ball dead after a kick through and penalty to them for a player within the ten when ball is played. Our kicker is taken out after a kick downfield in the first half; nothing but the one and only time we endeavour to snuff out a field goal attempt we contact split second later, penalty right in front of the posts and a eight point lead.

Klemmer is tackled by Bird who then elbows him in the throat whilst he is on the ground.

Then we have Fifita playing the ball sideways five out from our line and Sutton pulls up play.Gallen questions him and Sutton says "He needs to square up, put the ball on the ground and make a genuine attempt to play it" excuse me but is that not a penalty? According to Sutton, no it is a scrum. First four minutes and the tome is set for the whole game. Things did not improve with the fact we did not get penalties that we deserved.
I think what I am saying her is that yes we need to get our house in order but we also need to get the same interpretation for penalties as every other side.

You also forgot to mention fifita got penalised the second time but then a few hit ups later stand up and rolls the ball under his legs with no attempt to play it correctly and gets away with it. I'm first to admit we played like absolute crap with no passion at all. But the refs are slowly killing the game

We only have ourselves to blame.. If we got our act together from Round 1 ref calls against us wouldnt make a difference

Cronulla were just as bad. The reason they won was because of the 14 penalties that they got.

Sure we player poorly and against any decent side would have lost by more than 2, but the ref was abysmal, the calls were rubbish, even the commentators were perplexed with some calls or lack of. Sutton is an assclown and should be refereeing the under 10s.

Both teams were crap, the only difference was the referees interpreting the game in the Sharks favour. If no one can see that, then they're either blind or ignorant to the actual rules being applied equally.

I'm happy enough to put on the tin foiled hat and say there is an agenda. Because any controversy or negativity that has anything to do with the bulldogs on and off the fields creates headlines. i.e. The SMH video report of the Tapau swinging arm, mentioning him as a former bulldog or former bulldog Willie Mason is looking for a new deal after Manly.

There are certain refs which "suit" certain teams better than others. We unfortunately keep being given refs that are particularly critical of our style of play.

In saying that, we are very ill disciplined, and put ourselves in the position Where the refs have the option of giving penalties against us. Too often this is late in tackle counts, and players like Klemmer, and JJ are usual suspects. Whilst this may work for teams like the chooks, they have the defence to keep teams out and attack which can put points on the board, WTF WE do it when our game is based on grinding the life out of opposition teams and all spectators, is beyond me.

We are one of the dumbest teams in the comp. also if, the opposition team is constantly up in our face and offside, WHY THE **** do we continue to take the ball up one of the ruck into a swarm of tacklers waiting to belt us? We just don't seem to adapt to anything going on around us, programmed ****ing robots.
