TOUR NEWS: Teddy Riley and Blackstreet - Kings of New Jack Swing 2009 (Aus)
Blackstreet R&B
Body:
For the first time ever Teddy Riley and Blackstreet will be touring Australia this December for Kings of New Jack Swing 2009. Performing in Sydney (December 4) and Melbourne (December 5), Blackstreet will be going into their deep catalogue of hits, performing such hits as No Diggity, Don't Leave Me, U Blow My Mind, I Wanna Be Your Man and many more.

In addition the tour will also serve as a tribute to the 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson, with a special feature set from Teddy Riley and Blackstreet. A supporting group of DJs and rising stars will also be performing to Michael Jackson classics to get fans in the mood.

The originator of the New Jack Swing sound, Teddy Riley worked directly with Michael Jackson, co-producing his #1 album Dangerous. The highest selling New Jack Swing album of all time, Dangerous spawned numerous hits, including Keep it in the Closet, Why You Wanna Trip on Me, Who is it and Give in to Me.

Starting in the industry in the 1980s as a teenage prodigy in R&B group Guy, Riley went on to form Blackstreet in the early 90s. The New York native was also the go-to-producer for the industry's biggest names, recording hit after hit with the likes of Keith Sweat, Bobby Brown, Kool Moe Dee and Heavy D and the Boyz.

Coming together in 1992, R&B super-group Blackstreet includes founder Teddy 'Street' Riley, lead singer Chauncey 'Black' Hannibal, J-Stylz, Mark Middleton and Eric Williams. Their self-titled debut, BLACKstreet, produced the hit single Before I Let You Go. 1996 saw the group soar to even higher heights with Another Level, which was launched by the #1 hit single No Diggity, featuring Dr. Dre and Queen Pen.

Tickets for Kings of New Jack Swing are available now from the official tour site at www.hoopdreamz.com.au

some damn fine tracks in this thread, alot that i had forgot about.theres also a few in there that i remember slow dancing too at the school socials back in highschool while layin down the mack.....good times lol.few others in there used to get some play when i had the ladies come by for some R&R.they sure don't do R&B like they used to,the early to mid 90's were when some of the best(and still great) tracks came out.such a shame they have really killed off the genre with the so called R&B they put out these days which is more pop then the smooth flow of the oldschool tracks.

here is 2 of my favs out of many, many, many awesome R&B tracks:
