The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs NSW Cup side will play the Newtown Jets on Sunday afternoon in a trial match at Belmore Sports Ground, kicking off at 11:50AM.

Head Coach David Tangata-Toa has named a strong side, with a few NRL experienced players who will back up to play in the NRL Pre-season Challenge fixture against the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks later in the day.

Please note, the NSW Cup trial match against the Newtown Jets will be played behind closed doors.

Sunday afternoon starting at 11.50 am, last time I checked 11.50 am was in the morning, perhaps just leave out the "afternoon". Why aren't there any editors these days to pick up mistakes?

Now I know why I've put Prop as my second position of most concern behind halfback.

F@ck all in terms of size in the depth of our front row.

Unless we can snag another big Bopper from somewhere, I'm worried.

Tanner and Morrin as starting props is very concerning however Pele, Patolo, Tsikrikas etc will be there abouts all season.

No Davey or Preston playing Cup - hopefully means more minutes in the main trial. Gives me a bit of hope Waddell’s not locked in for the Rd 1 edge bench spot.

Wasn't he named at 20 for the 1st grade trial? Just outside the 17 along with Skelton is an indication he'll get some chances this year.

Scored a try, had a try assist, no knock ons, no dropped balls (of either kind), no other mistakes and missed zero tackles. What farkin more do you want from a back up winger?

trials are trials it is about getting the right combinations , they will all get time
