Very dissapointing game in cup in particular in defence. We had very slow line speed and really lost the wrestle/ruck. Newtown could just do dummy half runs right down or middle. Lots of errors in first half as well. Dispute that our attack nearly got us the win with a Papalii try pulled back for an obstruction that was a joke. Anyway probs didn’t deserve to win. A lot of the boys seem to be coming back from injury and getting gassed. Not sure why Harrison Edwards didn’t play. Knight was good played about 60 min including whole first half. Patolo was ok but very limited minutes easing him back, still looks a few weeks from RL. Skelton was awesome needs to be in the NRL. Basically single handedly almost one us the game. Papalii was great looks a better option than Taafe. Clark had a bit of a mixed game got a bit monstered. Perham was a ball hog and could have put Skelton away a few times. Newtown got the run of the green and completed well. We should have won by 20 though.

We are so far away from the ethos of tough and hard as nails forwards that this club was founded on. We've been left flat footed by comparison to how other teams have taken our mantle of an aggressive, non compromising pack.

They did. They seem to be a strong defensive team which is v rare in Flegg too.

Flegg were excellent in high quality game. Marshall and AJ Jones have an old style tackling style, some great hits from both, not sure if it fits the catch n hold ethos of modern day game. Marshall played most of game, Underhill was also good.

Some great players just worried none of them are big enough to be nrl props. Even Jack Todd has tremendous skill but would be under 100kgs.

i gree with you re the size of most props coming through with exception of Seve and Underhill - both decent size but not so big that their mobility is limited
