It's crazy how blatant it is.

12 to 5 penalty count.

Cronulla is fast becoming the trash club of the NRL and one I am beginning to really detest. Two dim witted repeat offenders launch a verbal attack several weeks ago and just what is the outcome? These two dickheads are not going to be punished for their podcast ;just announced on Controversy corner on Fox. I am not a fan of Rothfield but these two need to show some respect ,something they have difficulty doing. Mr Greenberg was unhappy with the two but punishment zero.....go figure.

If they were not an important part of the Sharks would they have been already suitably punished? A formal warning but no more followed for Fafita, hot on the heels of his on field antics where he directed a foul mouthed stream and some rather animated gestures at the coaches box. He says he was directing it at Jim Dymock but Dymock was actually on the sideline so that was maybe a little pork pie. The guy is a fool and just can't help himself. He may have talent but he has big issues too with self control and proper behaviour and we dodged a bullet when the contract with him was put aside once again simply because he could not keep his mouth shut. Heaps of off field indiscretions including abusing a photographer in 2014;abusing junior league officials, the infamous wristband message, being kicked out of Cronulla Leagues club etc. etc.

Andrew Fifita has reportedly been summoned to a meeting with Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan to explain an aggressive on-field outburst where he gestured towards the coach's box after scoring a try.

Fifita told Fox League immediately after full-time that the ugly scene was prompted by a spray he'd received from assistant coach Jim Dymock for not "running hard enough".

However doubt has since been cast over that version of events after it emerged that Dymock was on the sideline, not in the coach's box, when Fifita crossed the line.

Rugby league legend Steve Roach was adamant that Fifita's angry display was aimed at Flanagan, telling Fox League program Controversy Corner the former Origin star had only brought Dymock into the story after a post-match briefing from Sharks media manager Rob Willis.

"Of course it was aimed at the coach," Roach said. "Jim Dymock was on the sideline. (Fifita) was pointing up into the stands.

"I’ll tell you why he didn’t publicly say it, because the media manager got to him before he did his interview and was told what to say."

Dressing room footage has also emerged of a seething Fifita walking into the sheds after the game, appearing to deliberately avoid Flanagan.

The extraordinary post-try scene from Fifita created headlines throughout the weekend and according to a Daily Telegraph report, the issue was brought to a head by Flanagan on Monday, with a meeting scheduled on the star prop's day off to clear the air.

Sharks played some great footy this afternoon. If they finish 4th, they have the wood on Melbourne they'd have to be favourites for the comp. They are peaking at the right time of the season.
