Storm had heard some complaints about the attitude of players and club officials or something like that

Melbourne heard that the Bears were going to be the feeder club for Souths in 2007, and Melbourne's other feeder club the North Brisbane Devils were also going to stop being Melbourne's feeder club, so to try and get the Devils to stay with them the Storm stopped feeding North Sydney mid-season and put all their players with the Devils.

Being a feeder club for Souths is a much better situation for the Bears. There will be more opportunity for the Bears players now.

Yeah Billy. Lester Salanoa who is also at Canterbury, he was 2nd highest try scorer in Premier League for the Bears last year behind only Nathan Merritt.

Mitchell Pearce (current Australian Schoolboys) from the Bears now with the Roosters.
Liam Foran (current Australian Schoolboys) signed with Melbourne for next year.

Lee Te Maari was from the Bears.

James Maloney signed with Parramatta
Daniel Russell signed with Wests Tigers
Eddie Sua signed with Cronulla.

Yeah pretty much have 13 players against another 13 players. It gives the coaches a chance to look at each player and they can decide if they want them for the summer training squad.

Yeah they probably would test them at the start of off-season training.
