NORTH Korea’s football flops have been given a six-hour verbal roasting in front of hundreds of officials for not winning the World Cup.
Despite being ranked 103rd in the world, the players – who lost just 2-1 to Brazil – were given a humiliating ear-bashing by 400 government chiefs.
The squad was forced to publicly reprimand their coach Kim Jong-Hun, 53, even though he was the first manager to qualify for the tournament since 1966.
He was also made to work on a building site and has been expelled from the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The harsh dressing-down is a far cry from the treatment dished out to England’s flops, who have spent most of the time since South Africa relaxing on holiday.
And bungling coach Fabio Capello, 64, has held on to his £6million-a-year job. North Korea were always favourites to lose their first three games after being drawn against Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast in a so-called “group of death”.
But an impressive opening match against the five-time world champions led the country to show the next match live on television. It was the first time dictator Kim Jong-il, 69, has allowed sport to be shown live.
They were then thrashed 7-0 by Portugal, going out of the competition. But one intelligence source suggested the players had been lucky to get away with just an ear-bashing.
He said: “In the past, North Korean athletes and coaches who performed badly were sent to prison camps.”
Malcolm Clarke, of the Football Supporters’ Federation, said England’s players needed to be punished by being dropped. He said: “We don’t need to send them to labour camps, but we’d like to see them in the stocks for a couple of hours.
“What most supporters will want is a proper inquiry into what went wrong and for action to be taken by the FA.
“All any football supporter wants is that the players who put on the shirt give their absolute best.”
why bother going back to north korea? lol
