His runs in broken play are excellent, but otherwise he is a poor FB. His support play is almost non-existent, his positional play isn't the best (getting to the ball on the full or off one bounce off a long kick) and only had his first try assist last week I think where in todays game a FB is basically a playmaker. Des probably fucked him right up by changing his position every 2 weeks lol

Seriously the guy makes one good run in the first game and all of a sudden he's been our best player.

If you actually pay attention to what he does, he simply is not pulling his weight at all. He's lazy and does the bare minimum.

Teams have easily nullified any advantage he's had with his speed and they all know 50min his body caves in and he goes missing.

If he built up some actual fitness and created some sort of support play skill, he might actually start becoming worth his payslip. At the moment he's worth no more than $300k in my opinion.

Its not about him getting better.. hes not doing things now that have anything to do with ability

His involvement is minimal and thats a reflection of his personality / character as a player..

Look at other fullbacks RTS Ponga Slater Dufty Tedesco Gutherson Wighton Thompson Etc etc they all get involved as much as possible regardless of ability

You don’t remember Barba making a great try saving tackle and putting his body on the line against Souths in 2012? One of the best tackles you’ll see from a fullback. You really have it in for the guy and just don’t view him objectively.

Generally speaking,
Mbye has potential and will improve his weaknesses.

Lol at everyone talking up Corey Thompson. Most people bagged the shit out of and couldn’t wait to get rid of him when he was here.
