State of Origin news and rumours: Moses Mbye becomes latest NRL millionaire
WRITTEN BYSPORTING NEWS
Each week, The Courier Mail's Pete Badel reports live from Red Hill to give us the latest team news, injury updates and contract sticking points for the three Queensland NRL teams. This week he's embedded with the Maroons in Origin camp to get exclusive insight on major news around some Origin stars and a big-name Bronco.
MOSES MBYE JOINS EXCLUSIVE CLUB
The Queensland utility is the NRL's next million-dollar player. It will happen on Sunday night when he runs out. He will attract $30,000 for the match and that will put him over the million-dollar mark. Currently, he's on a deal at the Wests Tigers worth $950,000 a season. He played in Origin I and earned the $30,000 match fee. Now with Origin II and it's associated match fee, he'll be a million dollar player.
He joins a very elite club with fellow Queenslanders Daly Cherry-Evans, Cameron Munster, Ben Hunt and Michael Morgan all making over seven figures. Some people will say he's not worth that, but he has played better football of late and has done well to make his debut for Queensland.

Makes the rumoured proposal to Latrell seem rather cheap...
