Don't be surprised to see Melbourne make a play for Mitch Brown. The Canterbury utility provides plenty of backline cover and could come into calculations down south.
DALEY'S HAPPY WITH HOOKERS
NSW coach Laurie Daley is confident there are sufficient back-up hooker options should Robbie Farah fail to recover from an elbow injury in time for Origin I.
"You've got the likes of Mick Ennis, [Kurt] Gidley, you've got a guy like Nathan Peats going really well for Parramatta," he said.
"You've got Mitch Rein going all right at the Dragons so you've got a few options there. It's a matter of monitoring the form and seeing how they go."
The surprise packet has been Peats, who is arguably the buy of the year after shifting from Redfern to Parramatta.
"He's now got a few years of experience in first grade, he's a guy that gives his all," Daley said. "He's a good, tough, young player."
