Optical illusion. It went in but the camera angle is fucked.

The reason the commentators said it didn’t is because none of those ***** actually call games from the grounds anymore and watch them via the same angles you see at home.

I think the significantly smaller posts added to the illusion of it going out.

On first view it looked like it missed but when you slow it down you realise the ball never crosses the posts from that angle so very hard to know the moment it went past them.

If only there were two people standing directly beneath the posts who were trained and tasked to observe the flight of the ball. They could even have some implement in their hands and a signalling system to communicate their adjudication of whether the ball did in fact go through or above the posts..

Is that for the "special" away games or most games?
