Michael Gordon Re-signs
26/07/2010 4:44:56 PM
Fresh from last weeks announcement of Michael Jennings re-signing with the Panthers, the club has also retained Michael Gordon.

Panthers CEO Michael Leary has today announced the retention of Gordon for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

“We are certainly pleased with keeping Michael at the club,” Leary said today.

“He has progressed very well since making his debut in 2006 and was deservedly rewarded with selection in the third Origin game this year.

“It’s a good time to stay with the club too; we have locked away a number of key positions and Michael was another one of those integral parts to the team. With the group of players we have, the future of the club is looking particularly bright.”

Affectionately known as “Flash”, Michael is the NRL’s leading point scorer on 164 points from 8 tries and 66 goals. He currently has 80% accuracy kicking 66 goals from 82 attempts.

Very good re-signing for the Penny Panthers. Keeps them in good stead moving forward by retaining the players they have brought through their system

Is a good stable winger but nothing overly special. Great goal kicker.

Inglis's manager actually released a statement in relation to this matter- and I quote "lalalala, you will never get Greg"

they're from Penrith, and over 20 years of age. Between looking after their great grandchildren and football commitments they do not have the energy to break out of cage
