metallica debut new song
Metallica have given the world a taste of what to expect from their upcoming album with a new song, playing in Berlin on the 06/06/06 during their "Escape From The Studio '06" tour.
Consisting of a some riffs that seem similiar to ones found on "Load" and "St. Anger", and a ripping solo about 5 minutes in, it has given fans all over the world cause for rejoyce, as many feared an inevitable "St. Anger II" would come to pass.
Simply called "New Song" by James, it is an 8 minute long track.
Low-quality recording of the Song has appeared online. Check it out: Location1, Location2, Location3. Also, a video clip shot by an audience member has been posted online at YouTube.com.
As on the first two dates on the band's current tour, Metallica played their entire 1986 album, "Master Of Puppets", at the show, including rarely performed tracks such as "Orion" and "Disposable Heroes".
The concert's second encore also featured a rendition of the Ramones classic "Commando", with members of support band Avenged Sevenfold joining in on vocals
