Jorgie - make sure you visit St Kilda either on a sat or sun! It's a funky place! the beach is ok, there is luna park and loads of cool pubs/bars along the main strip and CAKES! OMG cakes galore!

Clubs - Um Taboo on Collins I think... Ladida on King St, there is another I don't recall the name oh wait The Loft - I think on Lonsdale... If you are up for it venture down the little lane ways - always little funky places in there.. we found a few, cannot remember names but they were always good... there are a few in Crown - not the greatest but easy to get too.

Visit the Velvet bar at Crown on the main gaming floor for a Supercocktail.. they are piss weak but the novelty is fun!

Definitely go to Lygon St - Italian food GALORE!!!

Queen Vic markets - Paddy's on crack... it's great for bargains but be warned after the first 5 aisles its all the same. There food market is great for getting a bunch of nice deli snacks and chilling out and eating.... Lollies stores too!

Shopping - well anywhere and everywhere DFO down at spencer st station is great! there is bourke st mall - check out the Basement at Myer on bourke st... ITS HUGEEEEEEEEEEEE! like the equivalent to two levels of pitt st myer! There is also Chapel Rd - that's a bit pricey though but some great boutiques! Friday night is late night shopping in melbourne so be warned its NOT thursday!

Melbourne is the best place for shopping, as state by purpleskittles. Queen Vic markets and bourke st mall.
With re to clubs, anywhere you go will be good.

Make sure you are staying anywhere near flinders st station.

Oh and Jorgie down at St Kilda they do charters along the break wall to see the penguins.. not as up close as at Phillip Island but it's something silly to do and costs like $30....

Can so easily walk on a tram and not pay.

I've done that all 3 times I've been to Melb. :p

I always do it...

Oh Jorgie - ride the city circle tram just for the fun of it... Takes you all the way around the CBD...

Kurry - I LOVE melbourne... I have been every year, twice a year for about 4 or so years now! I am due for another trip down!
