There saying bulldogs front runners thats a good sign
Who's tipping us Jo-el?
Yep that's correct don't stress itTigers and Dragons have more cap than us ?. Don't think so. Gus said we were 700K under the cap this year plus we paid 900K to former players playing for other clubs. JAC freed another 550K. That's over 2.1M
We're a better club and team compared to both those teams. If they want him you'd think they'd have to pay a significant difference to what we offer. I think he's worth 700k. Collins is on reportedly 650k at Rooster, I know he has rep and finals experience over May (also been doing it for a while), but May's shown more ability and was Rooster best middle last year (last year was his 1st full proper year in NRL too, and was still underutilised).Tigers and Dragons have more cap than us ?. with that money we SHOULD be able to get 2 x Middles then.. May and Thompson.. or go and take one of the Sharks middles.. (Kaufusi or Hazelton)Yep that's correct don't stress it
Another overnight backflip from McEvoy! There saying bulldogs front runners thats a good sign
I doubt Gus would be prepared to pay 700K for May though. More around 500-550K (first offer) as he was on at the Roosters reportedly. If the Tigers offer 700K I hope we're prepared to go to at least 600-650K as he'd make a bigger difference to us than the Tigers. Just listened to the Bye Round Podcast with Cheese and Jammer on the way to work.
Cheese mentioned Terell said Dogs or Eels, and made a joke to tell Jimmy he’ll go to the dogs because “that’s his guy”. How good haha, 17:12 in.

The offers should be May = 3 years at 550k-600k per year... Thompson 4 years at 700k a year.. that's fair value..I doubt Gus would be prepared to pay 700K for May though. May has proven himself more than Thompson at this stage so will get the bigger offer. Bigger body too. May 650K then I hope we sign Paps at 900K + TPAs then Hazelton or Thompson if we have enough cap left over which I'm confident we will if we don't re-sign Sutton etc. Many players are off contract at the end of 2025.The offers should be May = 3 years at 550k-600k per year... Thompson 4 years at 700k a year.. that's fair value..
as a back up maybe offer Oregon Kaufusi 3 years at 500k a year or Hazelton 3 years at 400k a year,..
Agree with everything you say, the only push back with May is off-field.. Normally the Chooks tolerate bad characters or poor behavior with elite players like Jennings, Blake Fergo, Jake Friend (when he was young) etc.. if they help them win... they don't want to keep May... and hes an elite middle...May has proven himself more than Thompson at this stage so will get the bigger offer.
