Some of Klemmers and Kasiano's biggest runs came when Abbey would go to dummy half (and pass from the ground) because Lichaa wasn't in position....
Even tolman gave better service out of dummy half

On this point was lichaa injured ? Would love woolford to get a game or mbye to go to 9

I did see Lichaa clutching at his shoulder in the second half so maybe he was injured.

Lichaa did come off with 1 min to go but didn't seem like he was hobbling.

I'd go with Mbye and take Elliot off the bench and play Garvey/Woolford.

Only problem is Moses can't tackle at 6 let alone middle of the ruck and what other team would even take no sundays? Hoppa will re-sign for aslong as Des does
They need to put 15kgs on him and teach him to tackle, then his pace will be worth something at number 9.

We have the salary cap space.

Chase hard after Tedesco.

Mbye is on the big bucks so throw him into dummy half. Would add another dimension to our attack

We desperately need a goal kicker. Would have a crack at Feldt. Great goal kicker, top finisher and makes great yards coming out of the redzone

Mbye is the same weight as Cameron Smith, both 90kgs. He would lose so much pace if he put on 15kgs.

I have played hooker all my life.... tackling close to the ruck against big bodies is alot different to tackling out wide.... mbye will be fine in D at hooker

Yes correct he gets caught out defending out wide. We seen it at the dogs and we seen it in the all stars game.

Not much reading up the middle and he will handle the defence with ease.
He gets caught out on the outside inside ball everytime. Our middle would turn into a thoroughfare

It just seems to me that Lichaa is getting some unfair criticism. He HAS been running this year (sniped 30 meters off first 2 runs tonight) - the problem is he doesn't have runners pushing up to take advantage of it.

I'm all for moving him on if there's a better option but this kid is building his toolkit according to the coach
I agree Lichaa has changed his game a little and is running. The problem is the players arent used to him running so they hang back expecting him to pass always. Better communication is whats needed and i think this will improve throughout the season. In saying that a hooker also has to pass well, have good short kicking game close to the line and make smart desicions. This is where i think Lichaa will struggle to improve but i hope he can prove me wrong.

Lichaa is super difficult to gauge... when he runs with purpose from dummy half he looks the goods and whilst he can defend, still needs to fine tune some aspects of his game to be a complete hooker (passing, kicking, finding the best side of the ruck to attack, organising his forwards, reading defences and tired players etc). The question is how long are we prepared to wait for this to come together? In my opinion, specialist hookers should already have most of those skills as part of their natural arsenal. If we do persist with him he needs to run more and develop a short kicking game.

Hoppa with his Sunday ritual needs to go, it only serves to be a distraction to his team mates and it becomes a massive issue in the finals should we get there.

Mbye.... I don't think anyone knows what his best position is in our squad. He needs a few games with Frawley to confirm if 5/8 really is his go. From what we've seen, Centre has been his best suit thus far. No doubt he's a gifted athlete, they all are, but we need to find his niche or let him go.

Reynolds.. you can't train passion, determination, energy and commitment and he's a local boy, all massive attributes for this team. What we do know is that his best is not partnering Mbye. At 28, the jury is still out on him, but in my opinion, he should have been the successor of Ennis at hooker which is the role he played very successfully when on debut. With a bung shoulder, 5/8 is now his spot or a utility role off the bench for mine, but he's asking for 800K, not worth that coin.

Eastwood, I'm not too sure we are getting the best from him. RFM should be starting with Eastwood moving to the bench. His name should be tossed around if making room for the cap.

I would therefore be inclined to look at parting ways with:
Lichaa,
Hoppa,
Eastwood,
1 of either Reynolds or Mybe.

It's a long season so I really hope these guys prove me wrong. At the end of the day, I /we support everyone wearing the blue and white and whilst being critical, I like these guys and they are gifted players.

I will agree lichaa has been better this year, but id happily get rid of him / move him if it meant solving our halves problem

For me, it's more about available options as opposed to who's worst.
If we can land tedesco (or even not and just commit to developing abbey) then hoppa and lichaa are the most likely to go.
Mbye to hooker, tedesco (or abbey) to fb, leave frawley for the time being.

Yep 100%. Feldt has an error in him but hes tough and makes good metres. Gela Mosby will stay at Cowboys (family) but they will need to pay him a hefty sum, we could land Kyle pretty easily. However pairing him with Brenko Lee would be such a rocks and diamonds pairing

Mbye is good enough to contribute to this team but just not as a halfback, maybe as a centre, maybe as a hooker and maybe even as a fullback but not halfback. He is talented no one can doubt that and has some attributes that winning teams need like speed and a good running game plus his not to bad in defence usually.

I would like to see how Mbye performs outside of Frawley. We might be pleasantly surprised.
