NOT satisfied with poaching Greg Inglis and Israel Folau from across the Tweed, Queensland have now attempted another blue heist on Titans flyer Kevin Gordon.
On the eve of his finals duel against Manu Vatuvei, Gordon's father Bob told Sports Confidential that Maroons legend Arthur Beetson had made clandestine moves to turn his Coffs Harbour-raised boy into a Maroon.
"I told them it wouldn't be happening as long as Kevin's a. .hole points toward the ground," Bob said.
"He was graded in Sawtell and the last I knew that's a bloody long way from Queensland.
"I know Arthur pretty well and he thought Kevin might've been graded on the Gold Coast, but it's just not true.
"They keep saying he's a local Gold Coast product, but he's not. He's from Coffs Harbour and he played here until he was 18." According to his father, Gordon also cheered for the Blues as a child.
"But he was so quiet, I couldn't even tell you who he supported in the NRL," Bob added.

THE Green Machine has a major incentive to fire-up and reach this year's grand final.
Canberra's No. 1 ticketholder, F1 star Mark Webber, is understood to be gearing up for a return Down Under should the Raiders progress to the October 3 big dance.
The Red Bull ace and former Raiders ballboy has been blessed by the F1 calendar which has opened up a free weekend between the Singapore grand prix and Japanese one to coincide with the first Sunday in October.

STILL in the ACT and Raiders star Terry Campese has displayed some exquisite timing with his kicking, running and passing game to propel Canberra into the finals.
Now it seems the quality runs in his famous footballing genes.
Right on cue, Campese's wife Sarah yesterday delievered the couple's first child - a baby daughter named Billie Gabriel.
The perfect birth relieved Campese of a tough decision had Billie clung on for two more days until the Raiders sudden death final at Penrith's CUA Stadium tomorrow night.

SPOTTED in Las Vegas earlier this week was Kings Cross celebrity John Ibrahim dining out with none other than former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson at the Palms Casino.
We are told the NRL's much-loved porn king, Con Ange, was also at the table.
And we are also pleased to report that Ange and Ibrahim emerged from the meal with their earlobes intact.

FORMER Socceroo Mark Bosnich is quick with a quip - but sometimes his devious mind moves too fast.
Sent to cover this week's Danny Green fight announcement against BJ Flores, the Fox Sports expert came up with a question that would have brought the media to its knees with laughter had he dared to ask it.
"I really wanted to ask Danny's opponent what BJ stood for," Bosnich told us. "But in the end I thought I'd play it safe and stick to the fight."
