Magic Round Question

This will be the 4th instalment of MR, and all 4 we have been posted as the “home team”. Does anyone know if we get any additional benefit for it? Considering we lose a home game (4 years straight now) - there would have to be a financial benefit for us (and other teams bar the Groncos) for sacrificing a “home game”.

Also - 4 editions and we‘ve only faced 2 teams - Knights twice, and Raiders for a second time this week. On purpose or just luck of the draw?

I'd imagine there would be compensation for clubs forfeiting their home game.

Regarding why we only seem to play Newcastle and Canberra, only the smart folk at the NRL can answer that. It's a bit boring and not that "Magical" if you ask me.

Based on last years top 8 - there are only 2 games where the combatants finished in the top half of the table.

I think the magic is in the Brisbane based corporate world that make money out of it - also adds to Brisbane adding to their third party pool - i cant see what magic it provides clubs - including supporters - from outside SE qld.

It’s always Raiders or Knights in Magic round vs us. Zero rivalry between either teams so its an odd one

Broncos vs Manly and Dogs vs Knights/Raiders has been the only two fixtures that have consistently stayed the same. The rest has changed. Interesting
