MacBook Pro HELP!!!

Hello all,

Yesterday my Mac's wifi hardware failed.
Appears to be unrelated to software; rules out by troubleshooting.
I'm wondering whether I could use USB wifi adapter? Seems a simple work around avoiding handing over my machine for a week repair with Genius Bar.

Yep. USB Wifi adapter will work if you're happy to carry an extra device around. Just make sure it's a Mac compatible one.
