The selection process for rep games is bizarre. There is always that argument that they aren't ready for origin yet some of them have already played rep football for Australia. Then you have players like Klemmer and Jackson who played for Australia and then have to prove themselves again by playing in City V Country. Not to mention Fifita who has proved himself at origin level who then features for City.

Origin is way tougher that Test footy

Maybe so, but a lot of Origin greats and last years winners just got stomped by a Test team, and that kiwis forward pack is better than anything either NSW or QLD can dish up this year.

Lewis is an option at 6 but only if Adam Reynolds is at halfback. Lewis would play the running game and leave the kicking to Reynolds. Pearce and Lewis together though is a no no.

I like this side but if you have Austin at 6 then you probably need someone with playmaking ability at 1 like Moylan.

I agree. Very much like Tupou - benefited by those inside him with good ball/good kicks.

I personally would much rather see James Roberts/Jack Wighton on the wing.

Hearing Dugan and Moylan might be out. I'd choose Tedesco if they are both out. Also to the people saying Johnston is Merritt 2.0, whilst I agree he's a bigger version of him, I think the only reason he gets picked is because he was in the Test team. Otherwise I'd have David Mead on the wing for him.
