We've got a Ferrari (Burton) in the garage and you want to just turn the engine on on the weekends and not even take it for a drive.Oh my God! Are you serious? Burton IS the ONE and ONLY running half in the side. Have you not been watching his devastating left foot step leaving people clutching at thin air? Why the fuckk would you want that guy not running? He needs to play what he sees in front of him and we need a proper 7 to direct traffic. That’s it.
Imagine Canberra having Wighton at 7 and another Wighton at 6? Who’s directing play and who’s off the cuff playing what is in front of them? Wouldn’t work mate. That’s why a Pearce or Cronk or George Williams are good players. They take the line on a small amount but generally they organise the forwards direct play. Get to the kicks. You know steer the boys round the park.
When Burton plays in the halves for Penrith(when cleary is missing) he does all the kicking.
When Burton plays in the halves for Penrith(when cleary is missing) he isn't always running.
Munster and Hughes work in unison together and steer the side together and they're both running halves.
