The trumpets are blowing
The drums are beating
The red carpet is rolled out on Burwood Road Belmore
Welcoming back the prodigal son in a ticker-tape parade
Oooops I forgot...The fattened calf has been sacrificed

Then again stranger things have happened

We broke up, we didn’t work out, joining the Knights was your career highlight…now the doors been closed and we’ve moved on.

Unfortunately, you may never win a comp at the Knights, they looked promising, but have run out of steam..

Now, we embark on 2022, have the best signings across the league, we have an All Black legend as our culture king, the Uncompromising genius in The Gouldfather running the football dept and….a dojo :-) we’re the hottest ticket in town… but we ran out of tickets Klem.

That’s funny, as soon as he got a better offer - he was out the door.
Klammer wasn't even off contract... he had two years to go on the deal he had with us but as soon as the Knights indicated to him that he would earn considerably more with them, he forced a move and the numbskulls we had at the time relented and saddled us with Dylan f*#%ing Napa for good measure

He did play his best footy with us, so i do believe he was passionate at some point about playing for us, then lost it wanted out of a decent contract at belmore with years to run on it. In the real world after football ends for you when you have to grow up you will find its called burning bridges!

Not getting paid what you're promised is a good enough reason to leave imo. The club shouldn't offer what they can't guarantee (regardless if it's in the contract or a verbal agreement). This is also why I have no problem with SBW leaving either. The club also tried to F over Hazem El Masri in a similar way (he said so himself on BlokeInABar podcast), a club legend, the people running the club aren't saints...
