Unfortunate major injuries didn't help, and that why I say he should have had more gratitude !

Klem is a shadow of his former self. But if he came back he would walk in as our number one prop no question.

When he left, it was after the downfall of Ray Dib.
My understanding was Klemmer was on a 750 a year contract which was huge around that time. HOWEVER, it was extremely lopsided with third party deals that were pulled when Dib got shot.
You may recall that was a reason Dib lasted that long, as he had soem sponsorship ties.
Klemmer was a big example of that. I think he was 550 on cap and 200 in third parties and once that went he got pissed and agitated for a release.
We weren’t in a position to upgrade him on cap (this is the time of the big fuggup where he gambled 10 mil would be cap) so he left when Newcastle came to the party and we got Napa for his money instead.
Also woods getting offloaded would not have helped. They were tight.

As far as I’m aware the third party stuff is inside info.

Apparently it had nothin to do with his contract it was about Aaron woods only

When Ray Dib went so did the third party sponsors. Something that Dib was really good at. Not quite Politis or Broncos not too far away.

There's bound to be other props that come up, rise up, Gus will work something out for AFB or whoever comes up.

I'm thinking Klemmer would help do a job, pretty consistent player too and might help the team in training and around the club.

Keep in mind he turns 30 in 3 weeks.

My understanding any deal wouldn’t take place until 2025 and only if they need to shave cap space for Luai. Another club is set to our bid them for Luai.

Still so much water to pass under the bridge.

I’m not against a forward style leader being signed. We should have been in the market in 2022 for the Bromwich brothers, Nicholls and Taupau. The prop issue was a mile away.

Just anything with Klemmer is still miles away and just something put out there by journos as an idea.

Roosters blindsided us with Leinu he’s not a leader he’s a follower.

Ad you said over 10 years NRL and he also started young like O’Meley.
