We keep hearing how our backs do reps in different positions and last night is an example of why. The coaching staff would know all to well how each player performs in each position. They would be monitored continuously.
Would also explain why Tracey got his shot at the back and why Sexton is now the 7. I believe we have an intelligent coaching staff as most unforced team selections have been pretty spot on. So as well as Kiraz went in his cameo last night I doubt he will be getting a long term stint there anytime soon.
We have a team of NRL players for the first time in a long time. Can only imagine what Ciro will do with a team of elite NRL players. I can feel my mental illness lifting.

I’ve said in the past, when we were looking for a FB that Kiraz should’ve given a go, but now, no way.
The team is better balanced as it is. Tracey is an excellent FB and Kiraz would be a dawg no matter where you played him. If you move Kiraz to FB, you potentially, slightly improve FB and drastically weaken an edge and kill our set starts.
unfortunately, for the time being, Kiraz has missed that opportunity

We had our rock star fullback all this frickin time! In his ten minute audition he was amazing.

I love Tracey’s work ethic but Kiraz made it obvious, he must be fullback. Bonus: it gets Skelton closer to a start.
He's definitely a better 1 than Crichton, Taaffe and possibly Tracey. He has a much higher workrate and could play the whole field then, not just one side. Papalii still has potential to be our best 1

Chill dude it was just 10 mins. People get so excited sometimes.

I wouldn't be surprised if one day he plays fullback but it isn't now.
He's playing too well at centre / wing and Tracey is developing really well at fullback. His support play and involvement in attack is getting better and he's now running more from our end to get metres.

There is a different fitness required for fullback. He is fine for a 10min cameo but he would be blowing big time with a full game at fullback. Unless he adopted the lazy Latrell model for a fullback.

He is a winger IMO potentially a representative winger. Leave him there

Kiraz gives me DWZ vibes.
Can play well in most of the backline, yet due to his battering ram style of play, the wing appears to be what suits him best.

It wouldn’t hurt to swap him in game with Tracey if we have the opponents on the ropes and they are kicking it from way within their half mostly

Last year after the game against Penrith at Penrith, my son and I were chatting with Jacob and his folks. He told me then that his preferred position was fullback. I've mentioned in TK a couple of times but I don't think CC reads the forum.

With Kiraz and Taaffe we have some great Fullback options to cover. But I think week in week out Kiraz is best on the wing. I think he has games with bad hands and it could cost us. Apart from the game last week Tracey is safe under the high ball, and that’s what you need. Look at Edwards and Tedesco. workers, safe and relentless. Kiraz definitely has more X factor than Tracey. But he is running 200m a game for us and has 6 tries already. No point to change something that’s worked well. Having a left edge of kiks, Xerri and Jac and a right of kiraz, presto and critta. Looks way more polished with Tracey at 1. Safe, reliable and enough speed, vision, passing and kicking to set up a few tries.

Tracey reminds me of Edwards. Obviously not in the same league atm but Tracey has super high football IQ.

Kiraz may his chance one day but atm he hasn’t really shown ball playing ability either

I think it would be worth giving Kiraz the 1 if Tracey were to get injured or miss a game. Taafe has been moved to 7 in nsw cup so it is a real possibility. He was sensational in that 10 mins

The versatility amongst the group is paying off. Good to have options, I wouldn’t be swapping out Tracey though. He was very good also last match, bar the sin bin. No mistakes, nice involvement. Ball playing to set up Preston first try was class. Kiraz over Taafe though, moving forward

He doesn’t have the ball playing and positional play at this point, IMO

Tracey already is the superior ball player to Kiraz and will only get better. Kiraz might have to train there as a backup fullback next off season

That’s what I worry about with Joash too. Great step, evasion, speed and can bounce off tackles but his ball playing ability isn’t crash hot
