What is wrong and what will bring the Donkeys undone in retaining him or getting a transfer fee is that they told him he had to sign the contract there and then. No review by his lawyer, no talking it over with his agent or family, sign it right now or fark off. That's the bad faith tactic that will lead to termination of the contract.

He was in between managers at the time, went with his brother

Not to mention it’s an appalling way to treat an eighteen year old.

surely they will make a play for Averillo
If only  haha. They can take him asap. Kid had all the talent in the world but I think was just scared. Golden opportunity to cement yourself in the starting 13 and a reserve grader comes along from another club and is apparently running rings around him. Waste of talent.

Broncos were on the verge of losing Haas and it now looks certain that this kid will leave. There have been a few other similar issues. It’s one thing to not pander to demands by players, but at the end of the day you need to know how to handle them. That’s one of the great strengths of Gus and it seems Ciro has it too. Can you imagine Walters trying to talk the kid into staying? Ikin and their ceo seem quite staunch about what they will tolerate.

Brisbane leadership and media team must some sort of special to say NRL has closed the matter and all above board.

Only for the players manager and NRL to officially released media it is still investigating the matter and haven't come to decision. So they can't comment on it.

Anyone hear any rumours that Gus was up in Brisvegas today ?
