Karl Oloapu cleared to return

Kid has been given the all clear to return to footy from his neck injury. Great stuff. Hopefully it’s with us and we can get the best out of him.
Fantastic news!
If his body holds up he could be a great addition to the squad!!
He hits like a truck so possibly 13(if he can let go of the need to play halves).
Or in the halves if he deserves it... some more good news for the rebuild that is finally showing progress.

Great news and best of luck to Karl as his career continues to develop. Good also the club saved the $10m payout for ‘wilful mismanagement of injury’ the colourful circus identities said was on the cards. Sigh.

Was their rumours of that going around?

Go Karl go, KO the opposition! Laaaame I know. Happy for the kid, must be really exciting for him to be given the green light to recommence his footy career.

Excellent, im sure there is plan to get him around the boys and to eventually train lightly with them.

Nothing of substance other than what one (since banned) unicycle rider was saying. But this was the same court jester that also said there would be a ‘blood bath’ at the board elections (there never was one, they were returned unopposed). So you get the drift.

But this thread is about Karl.
Really pleased he’s overcome a potentially very damaging injury (not just to his footy career) and is now on track health wise and to play, hopefully for the Dogs.

Yeah Gus said the whole year out and would only return in pre-season if cleared to.

well he is been cleared now but it'll probably take Karl a few wks to get fit and ready to play this year so probs best they wait for pre season

Hits like a truck and has the ability to beat multiple defenders on a run. Thinking he will eventually take the 13 spot

It’s a real shame what happened to him, he absolutely rekted Foran and set up a really nice try against Parra last year in an abysmal team. I’d wager if he was fit that he would’ve cemented a spot in the team. Sublime tackling technique

He's so lucky he's young. But how do you mentally go into a game knowing you had a neck injury and still tackle the way he did. I'm honestly curious because I fractured my spine and I couldn't play any sports let alone nrl. Hope he's has the right help. What a talent

Awesome news!! So happy for KO. These kids are so resilient. He's gonna be ripping in this next preseason. Only way is up uso.
