While I agree Karl's health is the number one priority it would be totally unfair if the Dogs pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars while he recovers and after the 500K transfer fee only to see him play for an opposition team as soon as he fully recovers. No way the Dogs should be letting him swap teams unless that team pays a considerable transfer fee, does a player swap or Oloapu hands back some of his pay.
This sounds very logical. The problem is we currently have 30 players contracted to the Top 30 and 6 contracted to Development. Players like Underhill, Tia and Marshall aren't contracted to the Top 30 and Development lists. Our books are full and cooked in the sense of numbers. If the reports are true I don't see this as Gus looking for a player trade I see it as Gus freeing up a spot to put Underhill into the Top 30 or keep no.30 vacant until when it needs to be filled. Had we had 27-28 in our Top 30 or the bare min like the Roosters a trade be on for sure.

Who is MIKSRL?
I honestly don’t know. Just see his stuff reposted from time to time. This time The Mole reposted it bragging that he had already reported on this a week ago.

I really didn’t see much in him besides he can tackle really so if he goes good on him to go back to qld probably where he does belong but if we keep him he could be a liability going through that type of injury his body isn’t the same

He reminds me a bit of Ben Roberts. Strong defender, strong and elusive stepper.. similar build too. Roberts had maybe one good season early on or the occasional good game (I remember him carving up broncos one game).. but then seemed to regress before switching clubs and not doing much to write home about.

He helped us get a big win against the Storm once. Though he was playing for Melbourne at the time so it probably doesn't count.

Yeah if he didn’t have his injuries he would’ve been really good but a injury like that your body is not the same.. I do wish him all the best but if he does stay then I think they will play him more of a lock but if he does leave he will feel the wrath of the best defensive team in the comp… and that is us

If it is the Ben Robert’s that played a blinder at Suncorp in 2009 and tore the broncos a new one talking one hell of a player, unfortunately it was his one stand out game.

How can he have secret talks? Whatever happened to the anti-tampering rules?
What anti tampering rules!!!!......do they really apply these days.......look at Fanafou Seve...under contract (not top 30 admittedly) but suddenly he is signed by the rorters.....who approached who and who broke their existing contract or induced the player to do so for this year......we could insist on him for filling his contract if we wanted to.......I would like to know how this came about....

Hopefully Dylan brown putting himself on the market doesn't screw us over with KO to the dolphins (if true)

Quite possibly and even quite likely.......but we the supporters never get to find out. That's why I say that it is an absolute sham. Realistically there should be some degree of transparency in these situations.......as a supporter of many years, I deserve that

The club has improved in so many areas over the last two years but communication with non corporate supporters is imo still pathetic. I understand confidentiality etc on private, legal issues but when it comes to "footy" stuff - squad lists, junior game info, training, website, signings/departures we get very little - the website is almost pointless.

They want him to medically retire but he wants to play & is looking for a team to risk playing him.
I doubt they are asking him to medically retire, the doctor or doctors not giving him the thumbs up to play would be situation, they don’t want to get sued if he injures his neck again. I’m guessing his thrown his toys out of the pram and moved home with mum and dad.

Yeh, nah, it's not that easy.

To medically retire a player then the 3 parties have to agree, the club, the player and the NRL, actually the NRL doctor/s have to be convinced. Plus it's a life time retirement, no returning to the NRL (yes, I know .......). If 1 of the 3 doesn't agree then that's it, no medical retirement.

This issue here is seems to be Oloapu, he believes he can still play, maybe not this year, but next year, or the year after. It could also be the NRL doctor/s, they might not agree either.

It's obviously not black and white, still more water to flow under that bridge.
