Rumour Josh Curran Injured?

In the couples thing Curren did I got the impression he likes to deliberately get himself in the doghouse - more freedom in there! Feigning unjury late in the game might also be a ploy to get a couple of nights in the back room and a bit less noise pollution.

Mann?

Or are you asking for him to play lock off the bench
I'd have a Curran/Mann rotation @ lock, not really fussed who starts but I'd be leaning with Curran and then you can push him into the front row rotation later if required. Mann/Tupouniua on the bench would then also cover the backs and halves and then you could have any combination of Todd, Amone, Zyon, Hayes, etc in the other two spots.

That forward pack is still as mobile as any in the game imo and is far more dynamic with multiple body types and styles compared to last season. We need more strike from our forwards this season if we want to cement ourselves in the top 4.

I'll be pissed if he's even forced to miss a week for a nothing game. I know that the teams that play these fixtures might get some pride and an extra payday out of it. But with a salary cap meaning that your best players are crucial to your season, I'd prefer that these type of fixtures are a post season thing.

Unpopular opinion but all rep footy should be post season imo. I wouldn’t play these official trials at all and start the season Mid February.

Finish the season earlier than presently. Then play a full Rep calendar for 6-8 weeks post the GF. Play the world club challenge two weeks after the GF. Bring back City Country that same weekend. Origin, Pacific Islands Tests, Women’s reps etc.

if players get hurt in Rep footy there is a better chance they don’t miss club footy with the off-season to recover.

He did have a small limp around the 69th minute mark. Hopefully a just a cork or something.

He is fine!!!
No reports yet and we got it covered anyway he is in good hands!!!
Amone went extremely well today and DSF did really well god tackles ran hard they were hard to take down …I must say that tia is a machine

Love the way he plays but he's not going the season without missing more than a few games. Pretty much red lining every minute he's out there.

Amone was sub par at best especially in scrambling defence (which our entire system is about). DSF was better. Todd was the actual highlight!

May have just been a burner, we will see

You don’t think Todd went hard?

I thought Amone was actually poor. I was waiting to see how he went. Unless he just had an off day yesterday. I can see him playing Cup all year. For mine he is below Todd, DSF and Underhill for the bench spot.

Todd on the other hand was sensational. For mine has come from the back of the field to grab the 17 jersey for round 1.

He is fine, just a pre season soreness type of thing. Nothing to see here boys.

Todd is 1000% in our best 17 but I can see some slight logic in holding him back in reserves for a small period and having him playing big minutes in reserves. Or I'm just trying to prepare myself for Ciraldo to pick his favourites to start the year... :tearsofjoy:
