Yah that was a real hypocrisy with Robert Downie Jnr. attacking the Hey! Hey! skit yet Tropic Thunder was applauded.

The ABC warned easily-offended viewers to stay away from controversial comedian John Safran’s new TV show — and they did.

Despite the show’s provocative content fuelling a huge amount of pre-publicity for Safran, Race Relations pulled in a lukewarm 700,000 viewers on its debut last night.

It was the 24th most-watched show of the night, with the Nine Network’s Two and a Half Men winning the ratings war with 1.3 million viewers and Celebrity Masterchef following close behind on 1.28 million
