I watched the NSW cup boys beat the Warriors yesterday evening. Maybe if things don't work out with our current halves Jaline could be the answer! He had a good game scored 2 tries and generally had good control. I know it a tryathon in NSW cup but I haven't seen him play before and looked OK. Has anybody got any longer term view on his future prospects in the NRL.

I'm not sure if he's even contracted beyond this season.

Frawley and McGrady are however.

Dogluva will have the answer to this question tbh. From the couple of games i have seen him play, he has been all over the place. Dunno if he was even in the halves while Chisholm was still here. Does have some nice footwork though. We need as many options as possible in the halves though, can't see a Reynolds/Mbye combo working.

Yeah I watched the game as well and he has a really good skill set. Pace, step, kicking at full pace. The commentators were jizzing all over the place about him and tbh he did play that well. If Mbye could step up and take on the control side of things Jalines skill set would be a great compliment in a halves pairing.

He has played at fullback most of the year. His attack is dynamo but his defence is not up too big rorters forwards.

Frawley is definitely up there in the pecking order. Raelene mentioned him when questioned about halves depth.

Merged thread.

We'll no doubt lose him to another clubs keen as youtube recruitment officer.

As far as I know, he's yet to re-sign. He's been very good since going back into the halves. He should never have been playing fullback.

We've let go of Hamilton from the 20s too.

Looks like we might be putting all the eggs in the Frawley/Chisolm basket???

Wouldnt hurt ot have some halves backup talent. This year we lost Hod but got Reynolds. but what happens next year (or even in the finals this year) if we lose Reynolds or MBye. Should be re-signed for depth. If hes good enough, he could keep MBye and Reynolds playing their best to avoid being replaced by him.
