He was injured at the end of the year last year, ankle iirc? but I've seen him running around so hopefully hes good to go now. Actually writing this, I feel like I recall Gus saying that he was all good, but could be wrong.

I think he was a scratching from the Tigers game because he is all of a sudden a starter with the other injuries.

I think other than Hughes nobody certain of being in the 17 come round 1 played. I think Hughes just needed some match fitness possibly.

Both training sessions I attended (late January) neither Kiraz or Kiks were there. So I don’t know if Kiks might have a niggle also..? Wilson was at both sessions.

It was last season, confirmed below by NRL Physio. I'm pretty sure Kiraz also said it in a podcast over the off season.

So who has the best specials on scotch and tequila? Asking for a friend....heaven knows I'll need it with that muppet trying to call himself a winger

It could be anything. It's not the injury from last year it's the one from the year before that's flared up again which actually is not as uncommon as you think. Now it could be it wasn't treated right (via surgery or just normal rehab activities). As a footy club though I assume this wasn't the case as they are worth stacks of money. It could also be genetic and that's a little trickier for clubs as they can just pop up at any time. Obviously I don't know the actual case but my gut feeling says it's more likely this.

What the club I hope is doing and I sure they are is working with experts for a continuous long term plan for this, and it might be Jacob missing a session or two mid week or whatever, the experts would know the best course of action not just this year but the 5-7 years he has in his career left.

Weirdly I have cut it down a lot, but I still love my spirits, my partner is Russian she loves her vodka. I'm more a scotch guy or tequila. It sort of is better for me as I used to easily do 10 beers, now as I have got a bit older I'm into spirits straight maybe with a dash or with ice, but I can have 2-3 of them and it's better for me!

pretty sure he had it at the back end of the 2023 season as well, which ruled him out of the last game
