I remember the World Cup team. Think it was 2000 or 02. Matt rogers couldn’t even make the final 17. He’d vs Russia and France etc. I think even John’s couldn’t get the 7 jersey full time. Him and Kimmorley were fighting over it. Barrett, Fitler, Ben Kennedy, Jason Steven’s, Tallis, Shane Webkey, Robbie Kearns. Was a fully loaded team.

Didn’t Jason steves cut himself before the final so he could get blood binned and wouldn’t cost an interchange?

Pretty impressive actually to make that squad, because if you look at the other players, they either played in origin this year, or would have if not injured (TTurbo, Munster, Cleary). Only Staggs, Kiraz and Burton didn’t (Burto was 18th man for Blues on 2 occasions?) though, so really Kiraz and Staggs are the only ones not repping either origin team this year. Did Coates play, or would he have? Have a feeling he was injured? Forgot that Ponga didn’t play iirc, but pulled out for Aus anyway. And now I see Kiraz can’t play either..sad.
