I’ve been going to my current gym for over 5 years, I’ve done well but my gym has had its chance to maintain itself.. equipment getting older, half the treadmills out of order, don’t clean, sauna is always out of action, doors of the lockers falling off…. Then to add insult, the price has increased twice since I started… services have diminished.. members have disappeared and activity mucj

it’s not me… it’s you!!

so people of the kennel, which gym you go to? What is so good about it? Where should I be going ? Who do I couple up with ?? I usually stay at gyms for a few years at least so I gotta pick right!!

I’ve been contemplating joining one of those boujee gyms that have those infrared saunas and Pilates classes and etc. there’s one not far from me that also has a beauty therapy studio linked to it that does all the skin wellness stuff as well. I guess it’s good that a lot more gyms are taking a more holistic approach when it comes to physical wellness and including other services to combine them into one.

Only reason I haven’t joined is the price is something I can’t commit to yet. Yes it will bring down the cost of me getting beauty treatments separately but I wanna make sure I’m going to use what I’m paying for and not pay for something where there’s an overload of services that I may or may not use much.

A lot of the newer gyms are using this modelling and it’s only going to expand. i believe they’re modelling them so it becomes a lifestyle for people so they’re providing services that focus on mind body and soul as opposed to the whole “aesthetics” trend that was huge for a long time.

It really comes down to whether you’re wanting basic gym access or the additional extras ontop

They've even got some gay ass networking gyms for "executives" lol. Actually that sounds about right for someone like @Blue_boost

Why don’t you join Fitness passport? That way you’re contracted to a company (not a gym) and you can change your gym as you please without having to worry about which one to switch too - plus the membership fees are dirt cheap - something like $20 a fortnight. Most gyms in NSW have a fitness passport partnership so you’re better off doing that. You’re also immune from paying the gym anything, it’s fitness passport who you pay.

yeah I’ve tried but it’s only govt departments etc. I’m not eligible.. it’s like the swingers club for gyms

Depending on the area you are in, actually they are everywhere now, World Gym has good facilities and generally well maintained
