Indigenous All Stars put Ty Williams on standby for Jamal Idris

February 12, 2010 .The Indigenous All Stars have put North Queensland Cowboys winger Ty Williams on standby for Jamal Idris ahead of Saturday's All Stars match at Skilled Park.

The 2009 NRL Rookie of the Year will be monitored after feeling pain in a hamstring after Friday's training session.

A final decision on whether he will play in the match will not be made until Saturday morning.

What a farce this game has become, it should be called the no stars.....seriously how many have pulled out now, what a joke.

The melb players were never gonna play, inglis and slater, just named to sell tickets, their coach's focus is the world club challenge

I'm thinking you are right here top_dawg... why risk a star player for a nothing game, and jeopardise your pre season/first few matches with potential injuries.

One of the many reasons Rep Footy should all be played at the end of the regular season.

If there is any chance at all of him further agravating himself he should pull out. The game is already a joke as it is

Agree. Just the suggestion that he is not 100% fit should be enough to not play.

Its bad enough when someone gets hurt playing for the dogs. Let alone in a nothing game!

if he is feeling pain in his hamstring he shouldnt play simple. Why risk him for a pointless game that does not benefit the dogs at all.

Thats a worry, didn't Idris mention something about hurting his hamstrings when Girmaldi was training him hard. Looks like he might be developing an ongoing hamstring problem which isn't good.

An injury prone youngster who did too much to early reminds me on $bw.

Hope its nothing and he can play and that this isn't a sign of worse to come for him

There's no point in him playing if he is feeling pain in his hamstring. Why risk it?

And wait for it, Slater is out and Bennett have called for Brett finch. He is giving him a bench spot.

Now I got serious doubt of the Indigenous All Stars winning this match already losing Inglis and now Idris.
