He was in control. I liked his last tackle kicks he wasn’t predictable. Varied his kicks. His defence was spot on. He looked like he was a Reg in first grade . Can’t wait to see how he goes with a few more fg games under his belt. I think this guy is going to be something special so just hope the management is on the ball. Hopefully his part of our rebuild.. good start. And a fine game for his debut
Lewis wore our jersey with pride tonight, he even bled for us in his FG debut with blood coming from his mouth. I love this kid. He's a raw talent with a massive up side to him. Lachy is bound to make mistakes as he develops further but he must stay in first grade. So much better than Frawley.

We did look more organised tonight... Lewis played well above his weight division. Jmk actually played well today. Nu Brown is our Hooker answer.
One thing I like about Brown. He has a kicking game and his little scoots close to the line. Something Ennis had.

Where do you put Foran in all of that? I think we need to offload Foran if possible. JMK actually linked really well with Jackson this game. If they had done that all season I think Jackson is stil playing Origin. It’s been a while since we have seen Jackson as an attacking threat and I’d definitely like to see more
FORAN CARRYING INJURY (THIS YEAR): Lewis >> Brown > Foran > JMK > >> Daylight >>>>>>> Nighttime >>>>>>>> Cleeland>Frawley
FORAN FIT: Foran > Lewis >> Brown >> JMK >>> Daylight >>>>>>> Nighttime >>>>>>>> Cleeland>Frawley

I know you and I have supported Lewis for ages and at times some Kennelers knocked us as for that. There opinion and that’s fine all too theirs.
I wanted to see how he went with some good quality players like kleemer and Jackson. Last night he had there defence guessing the whole game reminds me of you know who Wally. I have seen Wally make some hits on players buy Lachy has perfected his defence. Think he has that over him. I will make a prediction and say this guy will in time be our Markee player and have no doubt bulldog supporters will flock to watch him. They will turn up in there thousands to watch a player this club has lacked for years. Chris Anderson if you haven’t signed this guy then I suggest get him committed to us before it’s too late. You can forget about belmore the ground won’t be big enough for the thousands of doggies supporters who will love this guy. Also I noticed last night how much of an attacking game klem has delveloped. Not sure who is responsible but with his chiming in and great passes from Lewis and co he was great to watch. We may not be in the top 8 but on last night look out those in the top eight the dogs are barking.

People are REALLY over hyping Lewis' performance last night lol. He was great defensively but honestly done little with the ball in hand and had limited touches. All our attack was on the opposite side and our left edge was hardly involved.

It was a different team!
Although Newcastle are not St George or the Storm etc this was still a tough hit out for the debutantes.
In general the team looked disciplined and as if they had a plan on the 5th takel for the first time in years. Nothing got past Lewis or King in defence and they were sharp in atack and will only get better, (Cogger was strong for the Knights...) Lichaa gave good solid serves at dummy half and the golkiking was 100% etc, etc, etc.
Ohhh and they gave away no stupid penalties for the first time this season. (I wonder why...?)
Though you cannot judge how the team will go for the rest of the year or beyond this was a promising start and rebuild looks to be well under way.

The kid brought structure and fluidity to our attack he talked more in one game than Foran has all year and his fifth tackle options where better than we’ve had for two years so yeah.....na

what a surprise that its you making a negative comment after a win and probably our best performance all year, after pay finally injects youth in to the side and plays probably our best lineup all year (barring injuries; i.e josh morris)

Lewis was great. Looks very much like an organising half and was very vocal. That's what we need. Holland was easily one of our best tonight. Brown was great when he came on. On the other hand thought Cogger looked ordinary for the Knights.
Completely agree, especially the Cogger bit...he was awful but lets hope he had stage fright against his new team mates

Negative comment, fucking lol. The state of TK is ridiculous, i called for him to be starting half during pre season and it was a good debut, but some people are clearly over hyping his performance like TK always does with young players.

Geez i admire your support for Lewis.
His defence was outstanding (though i worry he is going to get some head knocks the way he tucks his head down) but what i liked more so was his passing both ways...quality passer and they can be hard to come by.
Its hard to believe he will stay in sydney too long given the connection to the qld great uncle Wal but lets hope we can grab him for as long as possible.
