I honestly believe we expected Bmoz to hold together in #1, so Hoppa could play centre.

If Bmoz can't get fit, then we need to consider Abbey.

Tonight was clear that Hoppa is not consistent enough to be a fullback.

He is a glorified winger nothing more. The second try Melbourne got he didnt follow the kick across field, yes he was never ever going to get to the ball first but he needs to be aware that if he gets there he may be able to make a try saving tackle... This is what seperates the great fullbacks from the pretenders, he's got no talk and his positional play will forever be awful.

Good looking team. Mbye to fullback for mine (I know I will get flamed for that).

I would also get flamed for wanting brooks for 7 and keeping Reynolds at 6

Reynolds played well with hodkinson because he structured the attack and controlled the game with his passing and kicking (hokko never ran). Which let Reynolds pop up and do what ever comes in his head (sometimes disasters some times brilliant).

But our forwards played better because of hokko. They ran better lines and were more effective. It's a shame Trent had no knees left because fully fit he could have been a decent half, but was the correct call to let him go because his best is well and truly behind him.

I'm not saying brooks is a gun player. But he can pass well, he can kick well. And that's all we really need. We need a half that can set up our forwards, set up our backs and put our fullback into space. Reynolds and mbye have no idea in this respect (Reynolds is a effort player and can make miracle plays, but he isn't the type to run to the line with players in support, he rarely runs straight either).

Brooks had potential to be a top 10 player in the Comp but failed to develop in a team that was run but Farah. I think if he can get a decent pack around him he can take it to the line and get space on the edges (something no half has done at our club since kimmorley).

Tonight was clear that Hoppa is not consistent enough to be a fullback.

As a fullback he is bottom 3 in the Comp (and I'm being generous). As a centre I would have him top 5 in the comp.

Ok he isn't explosive, he doesn't have speed to burn. But he has great football iq and he is a strong ball runner. He is more suited to hit ups then broken field running.

And his defence in the line is solid and can set up his outside man.

Shame we never identified mbyes skills 4 years ago and didn't develop him more as a fullback or a centre/winger. He is a running player and a broken field player. And is a cover defender. If he was safe under the high ball and could improve his positional play he would be a way better option then what we had in the 1 jersey over the last 4 years.
