Hoppa in for Montoya?

I'm hearing from the horses mouth..... OK i read it in the Tele..lol.. that possibly Hoppa will come into the side for Montoya. Please tell me the papers are "fake news". Can someone see any logic in this and would Hoppa do any better job on the Leipana bros. in his return from a broken jaw? I say NO!

Or does super coach put Morris bros. on the same side to mark them with Hoppa at FB?

Could go either way but I would be very surprised if Hoppa was fit that he wasn't in the side. Montoya is going great guns and will only get better but Hoppa is still a better player at this point in time.

The only one I'd drop for Hoppa is Holland but Holland played well last weekend.

Hoppa shouldn't be a automatic selection and bid his time in NSW Cup until and opportunity or form gets him back in.

You've got to assume Hoppa will slot in out the back so that leaves BMoz to take a wing spot. He is a specialist Left wing so that means Montoya goes. Both our wingers played great last week, but I thought Holland was the better of the two with the aerial display he put on and with goal kicking he should get the nod.

Hoppa would be a walkup in any FG team in the NRL. Getting upset because he stood down from a couple of games last year is one thing but the kid is a talented, experienced and capable footballer. This is his first season at FB with a pre-season behind him. He was going fine until he got injured. Why wouldn't he walk straight back in when there is only a kid filling in for him? He was one of our best for most of last year until he ran out of legs from having to switch to the back. This year he is fit and he has the skills to do the job.

True. I also think he is a good footballer and one that will only get better, but he hasn't had to do a lot to score those tries. He is pretty good under the high ball although he missed the first one against the tigers and we dodged a bullet. Hoppa is still a better allround footballer than Montoya and he hasn't done anything to deserve being dropped at this stage so he should expect to come back in. The days of coming back through reserves have been gone for 30 years. I'm sure Montoya will come back in at some stage this season but Hoppa has earned the right to go back to FB and that means BMoz takes over from Montoya. If Hoppa becomes a floppa then one would expect Des to push BMoz out the back and Montoya comes back in.

Of course Hoppa will come in for Montoya, Des likes to replace young promising local players with loads of potential who are consistently good at NRL level with guys who are partially committed and not as good.

Hoppa is probs stronger tbf. Id only be dropping Holland to fit Hoppa in if i had to. Bmoz and Jmoz are obviously staying in. Montoya is the modern day winger and has barely put a foot wrong while Lee is our strike weapon and is 2nd in the comp for try assists haha.

To be fair Montoya was out of position last game a few times but he should not be dropped for no sundays
