Re watching the game it is clear our tackling technique is off. We were way too soft. No one was aiming up with a big shoulder. Their was too much catching and holding the players, however it was clear our players were then scared to then go in and tackle the legs to get the player on the ground. This meant their players like Big red could just rumble downfield making 20 m carries. Need to reasses whole tackling technique. It's clear we have adjusted to try and fit the hip drop changes. However as we get pinged for nothing anyway way more than any other club. We should just go back to hitting hard and snapping blokes.

Yeah we should just throw 1-2 at a player, legs only tackles, keep the integrity of the defensive line. cop Quick PTB but no post contact metres

I'd say pretty much all of the teams are in the same boat, players are scared to tackle they way they normally would. The nrl seem to be making it up as they go along with these techniques they keep outlawing, pretty soon we'll be watching Oz tag

Because ***** are too weak to drive their shoulders into the waist... personally would have ripped the guts out of that ranga last night.

That defence last night was ridiculously shit..

Also Waddell on the edge weakens our middle third defensively, he needs to be in the middle.

Rugba League is a hard watch these days, switched the game off after the “crusher” pen early in the 2nd half

You know what? Fuck being scared of the hip drop. Just put a player on their ass. If an opposition player wants to whinge, let them. They can go and play netball.

But it appears we have not adapted to this rule at all and gone backwards while other teams managed it

Finnucane got pinged earlier this year, along with bromich, hass and mam. The majority of teams are still struggling to adapt, it's not just us
