Does anyone have health cover? If so, who are you with?

What is the general opinion on health covers? Are they worth it? Are they a waste of money? Good or bad experiences?

I'm with Medibank Private and I pay $110 per month.

I need private health insurance coz I've been in hospital every year for the past 3 years and pay $200 per time I go in for surgery that would normally cost 2k plus

But it's good for other things - dentist, chiro, physio etc.

Im with MBF, $70 p/m. Saved me thousands when I had surgery on my wrist a year or so ago.

My aunty has multiple schlorosis

and it has saved her thousands and thousands...

the medication she requires costs like $1,215 a month... with health cover she gets it at like $11 a month....

i'm with NRMA and they pay 90% for dental and optical etc.

i work at a dental clinic and when i put the patients' claim in, i hear alot of them say that health insurance is just a waste.

im with medibank private...

and i pay top up premiums of about $170 per month which pretty much covers everything except for physio...

i'm with HCF on a family plan, top cover plus mutlicover and extras. we pay round $200 a month. covered for absolitely everything, been on it for about 16yrs. very worth it!

im with mcf is my hellth goes below 12 they give me stomak check

Think of it this way, you only live once, so make sure you are taken care of .. you only get 1 body

I was with Medibank Private...Until a year ago. Had to pull out as I couldn't afford it whilst at Uni

Its worth it even if you get basic cover,dental etc.At tax time you dont have to pay the extra medicare levy either.
