2 time grand finalist coach and laid the platform for the roosters 02-04 run

imagine taking a club to their first grand final in 25 years, then following it up with a 6th place and then getting sacked, thats ridiculous

RIP , way too young.

Gould was so jealous and envious that Murray did what he couldn't do in 8 years at the Rorters and that was to take them to the GF that he got into Politis's ear and had him sacked.

Basically won them the premiership in 02. He assembled that team, then the club punted him before he got to taste the fruits of his labour !

still he instantly turned the cowboys around, almost knocked them out in the 04 pf and by 2007 the cowboys had reached a gf and 3/4 preliminary finals and the roosters were a joke

3/4 preliminary finals apparently also wasnt good enough for the cowboys, they told him they wouldn't renew the contract going into 08, i guess the cowboys prefer missing the finals and underachieving

RIP really sad to hear.

I heard the Jillaroos dedicated their World Cup win to Murray too.

I never minded him as an opposing coach. Seemed like a pretty decent bloke so sad for his family. Rip Muzza!!

Always liked him, even if he coached the Cowgirls. RIP.
