In reference to our poor goal kicking ranking ... in years gone by we've had some of the best goal kickers in the game in Halligan and El Masri and they won us many games simply by us having that edge over teams with a guaranteed +2 points for every try. So who have we got coming through this year and into the future that can actually goal kick? Why have we neglected the importance of this area?

ask ex master coach hasler. Not really anything pay could do about it this season but it's a serious problem that definitely needs addressing.

He was doing that last year too, but hopefully an extra year will make a difference. Surely there is someone better? Hopoate, Foran, Frawley, Lichaa?

I mentioned this in the past as well. If we miss the 8 this year it could well be because of our goal kicking. Looking at all 16 teams other than say Cowboys, Roosters and maybe a couple of others there seems little difference amongst the rest. I heard 10 teams out of the 16 sides will be playing with new half combinations. Every point is going to count. An 85% kicker will make a difference this year.

Teams like panthers and raiders have 2 80%+ kickers in their team haha probably all out kickers combined wouldn’t add up to 80% in the end even if it worked that way

Just as long as Elliot isn’t called upon, that guy was atrocious. But yeh like others have said it’s definitely a weak spot in our team.

yeah, while he has been training for a few years it did seem like he was kicking well in the trial. maybe with the extra responsibility of half taken off him he can dedicate more time to goal kicking.

If most kickers in the NRL had to kick nearly all their goals from the sidelines like Mbye has had to over the past couple of years I'm sure their stats wouldn't be any better. Hopefully we will score a few more nearer the sticks and that will take the pressure off.

If Moses actually wants to kick and is playing well then he should be kicking at atleast 75% this season.

Mybes kicking is like his half back skills, CRAP! lol we need to find a new solution, this is something I have confidence in Pay and I am sure he is working on this! I HOPE! lol
