Hey guys, was wondering if anyone has had any experience in arranging a fundraiser. Be it raffles, events, auctions etc

I have a very sick family member that requires treatment to extend her time with us and it has pretty much taken its toll financially.

Any tips on how to get started or if the fundraiser itself need to be registered anywhere?

Thanks

If you can set up some kind of online donation thingy somehow I will donate

Hopefully someone knows the best way to do this.

My thoughts are with your family.

I think there is a " ever day hero " site where you can set up fund raising

Sorry to hear that brother, wish her nothing but the best!

Maybe shoot an email to the Dogs, maybe they can help or donate something you can raffle off?

Yea, everyday hero. It's a good site. A couple of people from my work have raised money that way.

OP, whatever you set up be sure to let the kennel know, we're all family here.

Thanks guys, I have been doing some research online and found a few sites that may be able to help, seems pretty straight forward, was also considering contacting the club but she doesn't really follow any sport or the club for that matter also didn't know they would donate something to help raise funds..

Will definitely keep you guys posted on how I go.

Contacting the club might help or any other community based organisations that are willing to help, see if you can get your local government people to help out or something.

If you guys end up going with a online site thing, I wouldn't mind chucking in 20-30$ for you guys. Best of luck with it bro!

I would also suggest speaking to her employer, the hospital & check her insurance / super / private health policies.

I know my super kicks in for these types of situations but I also pay a small premium for it. Maybe her super can help or maybe they can release some funds in these circumstances.
